Shearman & sterling recently implemented a four pronged associate incentive program, that has been widely reported in the legal papers. It has been an incredible plus internally and has boosted morale. As an S&S associate, I feel lucky to be at this firm because of the forward looking, progressive management initiatives. You can travel the world with S&S, and each foreign office is of higher quality than the next, especially London, Paris, Abu Dhabi, San Francisco, Toronto, DC and the German offices. S&S is riding the wave of globalization and is well-positioned to take advantage of those trends.
