this salary range is a crock
Just so you know, whatever Stradling is claiming to report to you as their salaries is a crock of s*(*t. Their "real" policy is that yes, second years get $135,000 and after that YOU STAY AT $135K and they tell you that any year bumps are discretionary. (Which means you don't get them - unless they're terrified you will walk out.) But in the meantime they have to make you feel totally unworthy of even getting a second year salary as a 5th year. And then they claim that in order to get any kind of bonus you have to work the same kind of hours (2500) that a real firm that would pay market rate requires. Ridiculous. What is this, a Fisherprice law firm? That's why I left, and I'm so relieved; I've never looked back.

All raises are discretionary
Meaning that you will not get one. You get paid as a second year salary and are expected to bill 2200 hours with no real bonus. I am so glad I left.

Salary range untrue
I too left once I became a 3rd year and found out that the salaries listed don't apply to the whole firm. I billed over 2200 and got a pat on the back no raise an insulting bonus. Before working here get the salary that you will get paid each year in writing and make sure all raises are written in stone and bonuses are tied to performance benchmarks. And if they say they will pay you market that means you get nothing.
