Well, you are certainly not as alluring as nononono, no offence, but, then again, who is?
That said the advice is appreciated. The trip is actually slated for January, which should be an off time, yes? (although the weather will be.....well....about the same as where I am now). It is also planned as being Paris for a couple of days, a week in Val d'Isere and then back to Paris for a week. By the second week jet lag should not be a concern, although the kids fall into all of the various categories you noted (old enough that it doesn't matter, too young to matter and in the middle).
Any specific recommendations?
