Firm vs. In-house diddy's lost puff October 19, 2007 05:42 am
Every now and then you read reports that the hours worked by in-house counsel versus attorneys in law firms aren't that drastically different. If that is the case, and I can't confirm that it is, what are the biggest differences between law firms and in-house? Does it boil down to the pressure of meeting billable hour targets? I have been in-house my entire career (5+ years) and I am curious. Would I be crazy to consider moving to a firm (I presume the money is better, especially at the big firms)? Is that even possible at this point?
