Thanks. The walls here have been impermeable until very recently (when it was discovered that I had the desired expertise and the inability to invoice for my time).
I have a call in to the ethics hotline of my admitted state; the disciplinary codes of the other two states both say working for an "organizational affiliate" is permissible.
